- Three new characters go on tour with the existing Guitar Hero cast: The 50’s throwback hardrocker, Eddie Knox; the beautiful heart-breaker, Casey Lynch; and the intimidating Norwegian-born metal force, Lars Umlaut.
- Guitar Hero II expands the electric guitar gaming experience by allowing players to play different guitar tracks per song: lead, bass or rhythm guitar, depending on the song.
- Guitar Hero II follows up on Guitar Hero’s award-winning track list, with over 70 tracks (combined disc and download) including songs as made famous by Van Halen, Aerosmith, Guns ‘N Roses, Avenged Sevenfold and others.
- New multiplayer modes include: local co-op mode for two-player fun, Pro Face-off where Players can now play head-to-head with full lead guitar tracks and Face-Off, The classic versus mode from Guitar Hero is back.
- Any Guitar Hero worth their weight in guitar picks knows it takes practice to become a guitar god. With the all-new Practice Mode, wannabe guitar heroes can now pick any song and practice specific sections and even slow it down.

Thankyou for sending me this game in such a quick manner, I’m currently in Iraq, and now I’m just a little less bored.

Game is a lot of fun to play. Doesn’t have too many flaws. It gets stuck sometimes, like the other games, but overall isn’t bad.

Already had it for PS2 but I wanted to get it for 360 for the one song pack that had Trivium, Atreyu, and Protest the Hero in it. No new additional songs to the 360 version from the PS2 version were astounding. The new songs just replace songs from the PS2 version. There’s nothing bad about the Guitar Hero series except maybe for the 80’s and the Aerosmith installments.

Just wanted to throw in an important fact. Don’t buy the GAME ONLY unless you already own a GH guitar. I went and bought both GH 2&3 thinking I could use my Rock band Guitar. Your RB guitar will not work with any GH games!!! Now I have to spend more money for a guitar, when I tried to save money. Great Game BTW!

This game is so much fun. The songs on it are great and there is plenty to keep you occupied. It has a great mix of music, it just “feels” a lot smoother than its sequel, and the new multiplayer mode definitely adds a lot more to the series. Highly, highly recommended.
